As an Integrative Counsellor, I use a flexible approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities. This approach allows sessions to be tailored to your unique needs, goals, values, strengths, and preferences.

Person-Centred Therapy (PCT)
PCT focuses on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity to help you explore your feelings and experiences. This supports greater self-acceptance, confidence, and self-understanding.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps you accept your thoughts and feelings instead of fighting or avoiding them. It encourages staying present and taking meaningful actions aligned with your values, building flexibility in how you respond to life’s challenges.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT centres on your emotions as key to healing and connection. It helps you safely experience, understand, and express your feelings, reducing distress and improving relationships.

Psychodynamic Therapy
This approach explores how early experiences shape your current emotions and behaviours. By uncovering these patterns, you can better understand yourself and work through challenges rooted in the past.

Approach

Neuroaffirming care means recognising and supporting the full diversity of how minds work. We celebrate difference rather than trying to ‘fix’ it. Our approach is strengths-based, and we value each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling and being.

Some of the ways we practice this include:

  • Communication in a way that works for you, with flexibility around pace, tone and communication style

  • Camera optional in online sessions

  • An optional pre-session form to share anything you'd like me to know or to help plan the session

  • Session summaries available if helpful

  • Sensory-friendly space: fidgets, movement, weighted items all welcome

  • Lighting, sound and captions adjusted to what feels most comfortable

  • Move around, sit, lie down, or walk during sessions

  • No pressure to mask: info-dumping, stimming and pauses are all okay (and encouraged!)

  • You set the pace. Sessions are built around you
